Anno Domino 2010, April 30 Friday

Yeah, it's Friday. I have about 15 minutes till my next class, so this'll have to be short. So, I've actually posted before noon, isn't that something. Lunch was good. I got to eat and talk with some of my friends. The speaker today in chapel was very funny, and his message was good too. It's raining outside. I love rain - the sound, smell, feel, look. And I love the worms rain brings out onto the sidewalks. In my opinion, the more worms there are, the healthier I deem the lawn. Well, I've got to get going now.

I'll give you guys a picture/comic when I either edit this post tonight or make a new post.

Anno Domino 2010, April 28

Hi hi. So, I helped my little sister start her blog. Mosquitoes are starting to come out now. Just a few of them. I have two more major projects due this week, then six exams to start studying for. I need to get working on those projects. G'night.

Anno Domino 2010, April 27

This is my first time blogging in the late afternoon and from home. I came home for my ortho appointment. I'm also trying to show my little sister how to make and work with her own blog. Bye now.

Comic thingy for today:

Hiya. Can't say much right now. I won't be able to get on tomorrow because I'll be home until curfew.

Here's a comic to brighten your day :)

Anno Domino 2010, April 22

Ah, I'm seriously considering blogging earlier in the day. I can't write as conclusively as I'd like this close to curfew. I have only one more homework assignment for this semester. That means I'll have lots of extra time. Ooooh, extra time. Last night, after church, we had a video/talent show night, where students made movies and showed them to the rest of us and showed us talented things they can do (mostly playing music). It was great fun.

Anno Domino 2010, April 20

Well, school's coming closer to an end. Tonight, we set up for the Awana Fun Fair tomorrow night. It was so much fun setting up for it. Tomorrow will be a lot of fun as well. I have devos in about a half an hour, so I can't expound very much. I was also asked to become an RA for one of the dorms next year. I don't really know what to answer.

Here's your pretty pic for today:

Anno Domino 2010, April 19

Hiya. Today was the day of prayer, where classes are canceled and instead we gather to pray during normal class times. It's a lot of fun. Hm, I think I'll have to start blogging in the afternoon or something like that, because I keep on putting it off until late at night. I'm currently listening to Fiddler on the Roof soundtrack music. The movie itself is awesome, and the music is definitely just as cool.

A few days ago I started reading the manga series Bleach. It's interesting and amusing, if you ignore the usual downfalls of manga comics (cursing, demon stuff, immodesty, so on). Manga/anime is a unique form of art, sometimes really pretty, but it can also be very...hm, I guess you could say horrific. You know what's really fun? Switching between reading English comics and Japanese comics. It can get so confusing at times because English goes from left to right, and Japanese goes from right to left. And, no, I can't read Japanese. I'm reading the English translations, but the comic panels are still set in a right to left pattern.

Anno Domino 2010, April 14, Wednesday

I don't really have time for much today. I took a long nap this afternoon and I worked tonight, taking up much of my time. Tomorrow I'll be doing my taxes and studying for an exam on Friday, so tomorrow's post will probably be shortened as well.

And for your enjoyment, a comic:

Anno Domino 2010, March 13

The internet is seriously lagging today. Epically. It's rather annoying. I have to study for an exam tomorrow and I have a minor project due tomorrow. Well, technically it's due tonight. I have to email it to my teacher. Chapel today was very interesting, and disturbing/depressing. The message title was "The Second-Hand Effects of Same Sex Marriage." It's depressing just how much immorality has permeated society and how trapped homosexuals are in their lifestyle. It's also disturbing how anti-Christian the homosexual agenda is and how tolerant society is to this clearly anti-Christian movement. It really challenged me to pray for those trapped in this harmful lifestyle, harmful to both themselves and society around them. I need to get studying. Curfew is in two hours, and I really don't want to stay up till the wee hours of the morning studying for this like last time.

Anno Domino 2010, Monday

Ello. Well, I'll have to make this short because it's only a half hour till curfew, and I still need to finish my Bible Doctrine II study guide so I can post it online for some of my friends. Well, like I said, I'm making this short.

For today, a comic for you:

Anno Domino 2010, Sunday

So, today I went to church, came back to the dorms, ate a donut, worked on my lesson plan and a powerpoint for another class, went to church again, and wrote this blog entry.

In Sunday School, Mr. Bales (I think that's how his name is spelled), continued his series from the book of James from chapter 2. He talked to us about how James taught that your faith is shown by your works (not that you are saved by works, but that without good works, it's as though your faith doesn't exist). James starts the passage by talking about how the believers were treating the rich better than the poor, and then delves into how their actions were making them look like unbelievers. In church, we had a guest speaker, a Dr. Bauder who teaches at some seminary (the name escapes me right now, and I don't have my bulletin to look it up). And...I can't remember what he preached about this morning. I do remember what he preached about tonight though. He preached about faith vs. faith, just having intellectual faith versus having true faith. He used the last half of John chapter 8 to show how Jesus defined faith, real faith. In this passage, the people were claiming that they loved God and that they were God's people because they were descendants of Abraham. Jesus, however, was arguing that their actions made them children of the devil, and not children of Abraham, let alone children of God.

You can listen to Dr. Bauder's sermon here: http://www.ankenybaptist.org/documents/filelibrary/audio_files/3_14_2010_am_Dr_Fred_Moritz_D3DAA4580C896.mp3
Let me know if the link is broken.

I finished my two weeks overdue powerpoint project. I'm glad that Miss Stratford gives us extensions without greatly damaging our grades. But I deserve the late points anyway, because part of my reason for turning it in late was procrastination. The other part of my reasoning for the lateness was that I had trouble finding the information.

Anyway, I had a hard time deciding whether to give you one of my drawings, one of the pretty pictures, or one of the Calvin and Hobbes comics I've collected. I decided on the pretty thing. You can click on it to make it bigger.

Anno Domini 2010, Saturday

So, my day consisted of work and playing computer games. I was going to work on my study guide for Bible Doctrine II, but someone is using the computer I saved the study guide on, and for some reason it isn't accessible on this computer, even though both computers are on the same network. I'm going to be doing some major work tomorrow. I have to finish preparing for my lesson I have to teach on Monday. Fun stuff. I'm excited for church tomorrow. I went to my home church last Sunday because of Easter so I could spend time with my family. And I need to do my taxes too. Blechy. Today (or rather, tonight), I will give you a Calvin and Hobbes comic instead of one of my doodles. I know, you're so excited, right? Click on it to read it, unless you have microscopic vision.

Anno Domini 2010, Friday

It's Friday! What fun. Well, I work today. That's pretty much the only thing different about today. I'm currently playing Neopets (my username is rose_the_cheetah if you wish to look me up). Quite a fun game. And I'm listening to http://www.sky.fm/play/soundtracks. Soundtrack music is one of the best things to listen to. I tried listening to some online techno radio stations, but they were creepily Satanic. What's really funny is when I recognize the soundtrack music and can name the movie without looking at what's currently playing. I'm also on my Facebook right now.

Well, that's pretty much all the boring stuffs I can think of right now. Phantom of the Opera is playing right now! Yiii! I have the Phantom of the Opera soundtrack on cassette. Yes, I still use cassettes instead of CDs. Okay, now I'm done.

And here's the pic of the day, another drawing (you'll have to click on it to see the whole picture):

Anno Domino 2010, Thursday

Ello peoples. Well, I don't have much time to write anything. I'll try to at least write "I don't have time to write anything" everyday, and perhaps write something of substance. For now, here is a doodle of mine.

First Post

Well now, I do not know how much I will do with this, or for what purpose I would use it, but I will try to be interesting. Or at least amusing.
